Cambodia planed nearly $US200 Million to Restore Country after Flood

“Flood in the country recently affected cutinizes life as well as the whole country. To response the Royal Government of Cambodia has planned nearly US$200 million to rehabilitate the infrastructures that had sustained damages,” Deputy Prime Minister Keat Chhon, Minister of Economy said on November 15 at the first Consultation Meeting between Cambodia and South Korea on “Partnership Strategy for 2011-2015.

The emerging priority is to rehabilitate major infrastructures which heavy damaged by flood such as school, hospital, and road. As the planned budget, government prepared US$54 million since 2011 and also reserve US$ 90 million in 2012, H.E Keat Chhon said.

At the same time, the government is seeking to secure another US$55 million from the Asian Development Bank for rehabilitating infrastructure after the flood. Moreover, many development partners showed their positive and friendship to help Cambodia including South Korea as it donated 0.2 million to support Cambodian government in trying hard to help people and rebuild country.
