The World Famous Brand Name Officially to Cambodia

The rapid development of electrical and electronic industry in Cambodia, it leads the world famous brand Philips Electric (PHILIPS) came to Cambodia. On May 3, LCH Electronic Co. Ltd. is to launch the first comprehensive Cambodian showroom for Philips, a leading global brand in consumer electronics. As a world leader in healthcare, lifestyle and lighting, Philips integrates technologies and design into people-centric solutions, based on fundamental customer insights and the brand promise of “sense and simplicity”.

Lok Chumteav Oknha Lin Chhiv Ho said that LCH Electronic Co. Ltd get Singapore Electric Company’s Philips Electronics authorized agent and became the sole distributor for Philips products in Cambodia.

“We will start this year to offer most of the better known products of the large Philips portfolio via a professional distribution network, and then expand into a wider selection of Philips products as demand will grow in the near future”, said Mei Ling, who is managing the new representation. “To be able to introduce global leaders such as Philips to the local consumers is a sign of the trust and confidence we all put into the Cambodian market.”

                                                                   
H.E. Mao Thora, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, said that Cambodia electronic and electrical industry developed rapidly in the last decade, many of the world famous Electric Company have come to occupy Cambodia's electrical market share.

He added that electrical and electronic industry has become the main driving force of economic development in Cambodia. “It not create a huge employment opportunities, training and technology professionals, it also brought high technology to develop the country.”

He expressed the belief that Philips band name will make Cambodia be able to further promotes the development of electrical industry and create employment opportunities which contribute to the Cambodian government's poverty eradication goals.

After the war in Cambodia, Cambodia achieved a great economic growth, many investors are seeking opportunity to invest in Cambodia, Lin Chhiv Ho stressed.

She mentioned that Philips attaches a great importance in innovation and technology research. “I hope Philips play a major role in the Cambodian market with the support from people in Cambodia”
