Australia Education Exhibition

Around 30 representatives from 25 famous universities and education institutions in Australia to Cambodia to join 8th Australia Education Exhibition in Phnom Penh to provide study program and education information.

Ms. Penny Richards, Australian Ambassador to Cambodia, said the exhibition is to show the Australia Education in Cambodia. “It is a great opportunity for students and parents meet directly to universities and education institution to disuse about study choices and conditions.

Penny Richards highlighted that there 800 students and parents in Cambodia visit 7th Australia Education Exhibition last year. “160 Cambodian students went to study in Australia in 2010,” she added.

The ambassador said that the quality of education in Australia gained international recognition.
“Foreign students all like to live and study in Australia because the quality of teaching is better.”

Recently, the Australian Agency for International Development (AUSAID) provided 60 post graduated scholarships position for Cambodian. She also called on the Cambodian students go to International Development Pregame (IDP) office in Cambodia to request the information.

Australian Embassy in Cambodia also participated in "Australia Education Exhibition" to provide students and parents to apply for student visa in Australia and so on.

Tim RyKat, Director of Immigration Bureau in Australian Embassy in Cambodia, said Cambodian students start to be interested in studying in Australia. There around 250-260 Cambodian students to study in Australia each year in which 40% of the students receive scholarships.
