The Royal Government of Cambodia and the Chinese Government signed an amendment to a bilateral agreement on Feb 2 to provide a US$302 million concessionary loan assistance package for three infrastructure projects: two projects for roads and bridges, and one for an irrigation project.
The amendment to the three project assistance agreements was signed by Deputy Prime Minister Keat Chhon, Minister of Economy and Finance and Chairman and President Export-Import Bank of China Li Ruogu at the ceremony that was presided over by Chinese Ambassador Pan Guangxue.
The three project assistance agreements totaled US$302,018,275, which equal 95 percent of US$317,914,051 for the total value of the three infrastructure projects. The three projects amount to US$113,441,800 for the construction of a total length of 141.7 km bridge at National Road 214 across the Mekong River, US$89,273,400 for the construction of a 171.78 km road on National Road 76 from Sen Monorom to Taoung, and US$99,303,000 for the first phase of irrigation projects in Prey Veng province.
