All Cambodian selected Athletes team for 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou are ready for competition and leaved Cambodia at the morning of November

According to the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, Cambodia is proud to be back to the Olympic movement especially all athletes can show their skills and talents at the Asian Game Festival.
“I would like to welcome all contingents from 45 Asian Countries taking part in this historical sport festival. The Asian Game held once in every four years provides very good opportunity for each nation to send their sport man and sport women to test and challenge their skills and talents,” a message from Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen on October 22nd, 2010.
Prime Minister added that these games also give the opportunity to strengthen the solidarity and friendship amongst all participants and share in the multicultural heritage among participants. Cambodian athletes will put up their best to boost the nation’s prestige through their sporting activities and surpass their previous achievements.
H.E. Dr. Thong Khon, President of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC), highlighted that the 16th Asian Game not only maintains the eternal friendship and brotherliness among all human kinds but also avails itself of such gracious opportunity to further enhance closer cooperation and relationship among Asian member states and other nations in the world.
Cambodia athletes are not strong enough trained and less experienced for Asian level, they have made their great effort to participate in this important event with the hope of achieving success, a message from H.E. Im Sethy, Minister of Education Youth Before the time that athletes go to attend the 16th Asian Games Competition, the 50 delegates and athletes have gone to meet and received advises from H.E. Dr. Sok An, Deputy Prim Minister and Minister in charge of the Council of Ministers on November 8th, 2010.and Sport.
In the speech of H.E. Sok An has given the good suggestion to all delegates and athletes to try for winning the medals because it is the national honor and all athletes have to hold the discipline and morals to be good and especially have to keep good health for competitions. He added that the participation for this time, Cambodia should have some medals even if not many because the competition at this time is the international decree.
After visiting, H.E. Dr. Sok An has given the pocket money to 40 Athletes that each person has received $200 to encourage them in competition.
The delegates and athletes team leaved Phnom Penh from November 9th to 10th, 2010 for attending the 16th Asian Game.
The 17th Asian Games will hold at Inch eon, third largest metropolis of South Korea on September 19th to October 4th, 2014.
